WHY BRIGHTON ACTORS MAKE THE TRIP TO CHICHESTER
Brighton has no shortage of photographers. What it has less of is someone who photographs actors and nothing else. Most headshot sessions are built around making you look good, and that’s a fine aim — but a casting portrait has to do a harder job than that. It has to look like you on a good day, read clearly at thumbnail size on Spotlight, and give a casting director enough personality to want you in the room.
The journey is short. Under an hour along the coast, and direct on the train from Brighton Station with no changes. At the other end is a purpose-lit studio, a quiet room, clean backdrops and no queue behind you — you’re not being fitted into a gap between a wedding and a corporate shoot. Actors travel over from Brighton, Hove, Lewes and Worthing because the trip is easy and the photographs do the job they were made for.

DANCERS PORTFOLIO
A dancer’s portfolio has a different job to an actor’s. A casting director or choreographer looking at dance first reads line, proportion and how you carry yourself — the shape you make across the room, not just what your face does at three-quarter turn. Close crops matter, but they can’t show extension, alignment or the way you hold a line, which is why full-length images aren’t an optional extra for dancers; they’re the ones that get looked at first.
THE PRO SELF-TAPE
I also offer professional self-tape recording in Chichester, with an experienced off-camera reader performing opposite you during the scene.
