Sessions

STUDIO & LOCATION.

Your photograph is one of the most important tools you have as a professional actor. I often see talented artists miss the critical opportunities that they deserve because of a poor headshot. Your headshot is your calling card and is what agents and casting directors see first. A strong headshot will help you get your foot in the door.

One of the most important aspects of your photo is that it must look like you. The biggest mistake many actors make is going to a photographer that will OVER-GLAMORIZE or MISREPRESENT them. If you do not send out a headshot that faithfully represents you, directors will be misled and ultimately be frustrated.

When we begin, my goal is to make you as unaware of my camera as possible. I want our environment to feel as if you are at your friend's apartment having a good conversation. You want your headshots to convey a laid back and relaxed look. Bring your favorite CD’s! This will really help your session. If all of your music is on an iPod, I can hook it into my stereo.

Shooting digitally gives you a number of big benefits. It gives you freedom to be able to see your photos the moment that they are shot. We will take periodic breaks from shooting and look over your photos. This gives us the opportunity to make any adjustments on the spot.

Every shoot comes with your two carefully retouched images and a hi-resolution master CD of your two images that you have chosen. All of the retouching work is very natural, keeping in mind that you should look like yourself.

Also, on the same day as your shoot, you will have access to your own on-line contact sheet & web gallery with all of your photos and a list of my top choices. The moment I am done retouching your chosen images, the labs are able to download your photos directly from my computer. After everything is said and done, you have saved about 4 round trips to the studio and repro lab. No more waiting weeks for film processing, no more trips back and forth to the studio, and no more surprises!
